BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The United Way of North Central Ohio is entering its final push to reach its annual fundraising goal, with officials reporting the campaign is currently at 80% of its target.
Amber Wertman, representing the organization, announced during a recent community update that the non-profit aims to bridge the remaining gap by June. The funds support local programs focused on child success, family health, and resident self-sufficiency across Crawford, Marion, Morrow, Seneca, and Wyandotte counties.
The organization also announced that the 2026 Community Impact Grant applications will open on Monday, April 13. Non-profit organizations seeking funding for community programs have until May 7 to submit their applications through the United Way’s online portal.
In addition to grant opportunities, the United Way is hosting its “Derby-themed” annual purse bingo on May 1 at the Masters Building in Upper Sandusky. Tickets for the event, which serves as a major fundraiser for the region, are currently available for purchase online.
