GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Grace Point Church, located at 683 Portland Way N., is inviting the community to enjoy a day of classic vehicles, live entertainment, and hearty food at their upcoming Hog Roast and Car Show.
The annual event is set for August 1. Grace Point volunteer organizer Tim Bell carries a burden for the children being treated at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. He has gathered volunteers from all across Crawford County to help with this important fundraiser. Ackerman Farms generously donated two hogs for the event. Volunteers will come together to make the church’s “secret recipe” Cole slaw along with baked beans that are a big hit as well. Diners can enjoy a brownie sundae to top off their meal.
“This is an affordable way for families to enjoy a great meal, entertainment,a silent auction, and a car show. They can take joy in knowing their purchases go directly to help children fighting health devastation at the most vulnerable and precious time of their lives.”
Bell also acknowledged his wife Julie for her unwavering support of this event; “I couldn’t do this without my wife.” Bell said.
The event, which promises a family-friendly atmosphere, will kick off with vehicle registration from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Food will be served beginning at Noon. Diners can eat in or take advantage of carry out service.
Car enthusiasts can enter their vehicles for a $15 registration fee, with awards presented at 4:00 p.m.
In addition to the car show, the church will host a silent auction throughout the day. Winners will be announced at 4:00 pm. Participants do not need to be present to claim their prizes.
Guests can also enjoy live music during the event. The band, “Bullit” performs live classic rock from 1-4pm.
