MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The YWCA’s Child Care Resource and Referral program continues to offer free, comprehensive support services to families and community members across Crawford, Marion, Morrow, and Richland counties.
The program operates as a central hub for information, assisting community members regardless of whether they are parents, relative caregivers, or neighbors. Services include providing unbiased referrals to licensed in-home and center-based child care providers for children from birth through age 12, as well as guiding families through the child care assistance application process.
In addition to child care matching, the program conducts free developmental screenings to offer parents peace of mind or to connect them with specialized evaluation services if needed. The YWCA also hosts various social groups and educational classes, such as sensory play sessions, family game nights, and groups tailored specifically for parents with children under age 3.
All consultations and services are confidential. If a family requires assistance outside the YWCA’s immediate scope, a team of parent and youth ambassadors helps connect them directly to other local service providers.
