MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Mansfield Lahm Airport will host its annual Airport Day on August 1 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., bringing the community together for aviation displays, local food, and family activities.
This year’s event marks a schedule shift from previous late-afternoon hours, serving as a transitional step as organizers prepare to launch a full-fledged air show in 2028 for the airport’s 100th anniversary.
Highlights for the day include:
- Aircraft Displays & Flights: Static displays feature a historic B-25 bomber, the Grimes Flying Lab, and a LifeFlight helicopter. Free Young Eagles flights are available for youth ages 7 to 17 through the Experimental Aircraft Association, with paid airplane and helicopter rides also open to the public.
- Car & Bike Show: Registration begins at 9 a.m., with hundreds of vehicles on display across the tarmac and overflow areas before afternoon awards.
- Breakfast & Family Fun: The Mansfield Aviation Club will host a donation-based pancake breakfast starting at 8 a.m. in the NIS hangar to benefit student scholarships. The event also features a food truck rally and a Civil Air Patrol-hosted Kids Zone.
