RICHLAND COUNTY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)— Authorities are investigating the discovery of a body found in the Gatton Rocks area of the Clear Fork River on Tuesday.
Officials from the Richland County Coroner’s Office and the Richland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene Tuesday afternoon. The Ohio Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) was also on-site to assist with the inquiry.
Sources say foul play is not suspected at this time. The body was discovered in shallow water, and an initial examination showed no signs of struggle, injuries, bruises, or scars.
The investigation is ongoing.
