BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)–Bucyrus City Schools is inviting students and their families to get a head start on the new school year with its annual Open House Night on Monday, August 18. The event will take place at both Bucyrus Elementary School and Bucyrus Secondary School, providing an opportunity for the community to connect with educators and organizations.

Bucyrus Elementary School’s open house will run from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, while the Bucyrus Secondary School event is scheduled for 4:30 to 6:30 PM.

At both schools, attendees can drop off school supplies, tour the buildings and classrooms, and meet their teachers for the upcoming year. The event also serves as a hub for community engagement, with a variety of organizations and student clubs on hand to provide information and opportunities.

At the secondary school, students can chat with representatives from various colleges and career centers, including Marion Technical College, North Central State College, and Pioneer Career and Technology Center. Organizations like the Rotary and Lions Club will also be present, along with student-run clubs such as the National Honor Society, Interact Club, and Spirit Club.

Bucyrus Elementary will feature community partners like the PTO, TACKLE, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Lifewise, and the Salvation Army Tutoring program.

School officials are encouraging everyone to attend and help start the school year on a positive note.
