Tuesday will remain hot, with highs in the lower 90s and southwest winds around 10 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. Wednesday is expected to be the hottest day of the period, with mostly sunny skies, highs in the mid-90s and heat index values reaching around 100 degrees.

Showers and thunderstorms become more likely Thursday, when the National Weather Service is forecasting a 50% chance of rain and a high around 90. Friday will be cooler, with a 40% chance of morning showers and a high in the mid-80s.
