The Bucyrus Secondary School is proud to announce Logan Plumley as the Bucyrus representative to the 2013-2014 Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award program. Plumley, currently a senior at BSS, was selected from the district based on his hard work and dedication both in and out of the classroom. He will be recognized at the annual banquet Monday, March 10 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Mid-Ohio Conference Center.

“We are excited to honor someone who has achieved the highest level you can achieve here at the Secondary School,” Bucyrus Secondary School Principal Dr. Mark Burke said. “Logan is a model student, carrying a 4.0 grade point average throughout his high school academic career, and is involved in an array of activities on campus including National Honor Society, student council, Science Club and more.”

“To be selected as the representative for Bucyrus is a tremendous honor,” said Plumley. “All the hard work and time that I’ve committed is starting to come together and pay off.” Before being selected, Plumley was required to submit an application as well as an essay highlighting the person who has had the most positive impact on his life. He, like many students, chose his parents, Tim and Amy Plumley.

“There is no doubt that I am the person I am today because of my parents,” concluded Plumley. “I don’t think I have ever seen two people who work harder than my mom and dad. My dad has always told me that if I am going to do something, there is no reason not to do it to my full potential. They are incredible role models!”
