BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)–First Federal Community Bank has announced a partnership with local news outlet Crawford County Now to sponsor two new digital and online news segments: “Community First” and “History Worth Sharing.” The collaboration aims to spotlight individuals and organizations making a positive impact, as well as preserve and share the rich local history of Crawford County.

Steve Crall, President of First Federal Community Bank, emphasized the bank’s commitment to community investment. “First Federal, we’re all about people,” Crall stated in an interview with Crawford County Now’s Melissa Miller. “We felt like these two segments really got to the heart of the matter and invest in our community and celebrating what makes it special. We feel like that was a perfect fit for what our message is.”

The “Community First” segment will shine a spotlight on individuals and organizations quietly making a difference in the community, including non-profits, small businesses, and volunteers. “Spotlighting that is exactly what we wanted to do and share those stories with the community,” Crall explained.

“History Worth Sharing” will focus on preserving local history, featuring stories, places, and people who have shaped the area. Crall noted First Federal’s own deep roots in Bucyrus, having been established in 1887 in the same downtown location. “We really wanted to connect with that idea of sharing that history along with the community, and it’s about honoring our roots and keeping those stories alive,” he said.

Crall stressed that this sponsorship is more than just branding; it aligns with First Federal’s core mission and values. “It’s not about having just our name out there. It’s about living our values,” he said. “These segments align perfectly with that, and we’re here to support both the progress and preservation of our community.”

The community is encouraged to participate in both segments. For “Community First,” individuals can nominate someone they believe is making a difference. For “History Worth Sharing,” stories that deserve to be heard are welcome. Nominations and story ideas can be submitted by contacting Melissa Miller or Claudia at Crawford County Now.
