GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Galion Community Theatre (GCT) is preparing to transport local audiences to a magical world with its upcoming production of Finding Neverland, a musical that explores the real-world relationships and imagination behind the creation of Peter Pan.

The production opens Friday, June 19, and features a cast heavily rooted in the North Central Ohio arts and education community.

Organizers say the production is packed with emotional depth, humor, and hidden “Easter eggs” for eagle-eyed fans of the classic Peter Pan lore, explaining iconic details like why Peter hunts for his shadow or the significance of acorns and thimbles.

“This show is one of those magical shows that you’re going to be smiling the entire time until we get to a certain turning point,” said GCT representative Beth Ann Jarvis. “You’re still going to walk away from the show receiving a really uplifting, positive message, but do bring tissues.”

Performances are scheduled for June 19, 20, 26, and 27 at 7:30 p.m., with a final matinee on Sunday, June 28 at 2 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased online at galiontheatre.org or by calling the box office at 419-468-2662.
