The Ohio Optometric Association is pleased to introduce you to Dr. Sarah Nigh-Bruner as the Governor for Zone 1 which includes Ashland, Crawford, Erie, Huron, Richland, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca and Wyandot counties.
Dr. Sarah Nigh-Bruner practices at Ohio Eye Associates in Mansfield, OH. She graduated from Colonel Crawford High School in 1997 and The Ohio State University, where she received her B.A. prior to receiving her doctor of optometry degree. During her undergraduate career, she was a four year letter winner on the Varsity Women’s Swimming and Diving Team, serving as team captain her senior year, running summer swim camps, and an active member of the Student Athlete Advisory Board.
After graduating, she returned to her home town and joined Club View Vision Center where she worked as a full time optometrist. She is a member of the OOA and AOA. She loves children, is a participant in the Infant See program and does Real Eyes presentations at many schools in the area. In June 2012, Dr. Nigh-Bruner proudly joined the staff of The Ohio Eye Associates in Mansfield where she will continue to provide patients of all ages with the highest quality of eye care. Dr. Bruner currently sees patients at her Bucyrus location and in Mansfield, Ohio.
Within her community Dr. Bruner currently coaches a YMCA swimming team and soccer and is active in her church. She has also coached swimming as assistant coach at Bucyrus City Schools and as the Head Swim Coach at Wynford Local Schools. She enjoys running and spending time with her children. Dr. Bruner’s husband, Jake, is currently High School principal of Colonel Crawford High School and prior to that he was the head was the head football coach at Bucyrus were they currently reside. Sarah and Jake have three children: Kaden (age 8), Brynn (age 7), and Trey (age 4).
