HARPSTER, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Coon’s Candy held its soft opening last Wednesday for their newly relocated store. The retail store is now located at 16451 County Road 113, just a quarter mile North of the previous location.

The soft opening allowed customers to check out the new space while grabbing some of their favorite candies and trying out some samples.

Coon’s Candy has been successfully operating for 109 years and has been run by five generations of the Coons Family.

Raechelle Coons, owner of Coon’s Candy, had worked on the manufacturing side of the business for over 30 years and took the business over completely after her sister retired.

Coons says she is excited to be hands-on and to work with people at the new location, and hopes it will bring even more people in.

“I just hope they enjoy everything,” says Coons, “I just want to see everybody excited.”

Coon’s Candy will also be holding a grand re-opening, ribbon-cutting ceremony, and open house on September 26th from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., where everyone is welcome.
