A large crowd gathered for some sheep thrills at the Breeding Sheep Show at the Crawford County Fair.

Hordes of contestants paraded their sheep around the arena to be judged on characteristics like growthness, muscling, breed characteristics, and how well they’re trained. Kids of all ages, the youngest being nine, showed off their knowledge and skill.

One seasoned sheep shower participating was Michelle Flock, eighteen. This is her tenth year participating and she’s taken home the grand champion title once and the reserved champion title twice.

Michelle Flock poses with one of her sheep.

She plans to take her sheep to the state fair next week.

“My dad and his family have always been in the livestock industry so I grew up around sheep. They’re easy to train and take care of, and they’re pretty docile,” said Flock.

Flock was showing sheep Leo, Olga, and Max for the competition, and has eleven at home.

Fans of the show were loyal, as it went on for hours. The contestants appeared to be happy and in their element as they had the chance to demonstrate their expertise and show what they’ve worked so hard on to their friends and family.
