GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—History and mystery will collide next month as the Galion History Center transforms the historic Brownella Cottage into a real-life game board for an immersive “CLUE” experience.

Scheduled for Saturday, May 9, the event invites guests to participate in a live-action version of the classic board game. Set within the former home of Bishop William Montgomery Brown and Ella Brown, the fictional scenario begins with a dinner gathering of notable local figures from Galion’s past.

The evening takes a dark turn when the home’s caretaker is found dead, leaving the hosts and their guests as the primary suspects.

“Participants become the detectives,” organizers said in a statement.

Armed with investigative kits and flashlights, players will move through the rooms of the dark cottage to encounter six suspects and uncover hidden clues. The use of flashlights is intended to add a layer of suspense to the historic setting.

The event features two sessions at 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 per player. Organizers have designated the mystery as a family-friendly activity, recommended for ages 10 and up.

Due to the unique nature of the venue, tickets are limited and expected to sell quickly. Interested participants can reserve spots at galionhistory.com/events.
