There’s been some recent attention surrounding the sale of the building that houses our business, so we want to make sure the story is clear: the building is for sale — the business is not.

The owners of the building have made the decision to put the property on the market. That is a real estate transaction involving the physical building and has nothing to do with the ownership, operation or future of the businesses located inside.

In other words, if you see a “For Sale” sign or hear that the property is being marketed, don’t assume that means the business is changing hands. It doesn’t.

NCOMG and the businesses it operates remain focused on doing what they have always done — serving the communities, customers and listeners who have supported them over the years. The sale of the building does not represent a sale of WQEL, WBCO, Crawford County Now or Marion County Now.

We understand that seeing a commercial property listed for sale can create questions, especially when a familiar local business operates from that location. That’s why we wanted to go straight to the source and clear up any confusion.

So, here’s the scoop: the building we rent is for sale. The businesses are not.
