MARION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—United Way of North Central Ohio (UWNCO) announced it has reached 80% of its annual fundraising goal with only weeks remaining in the campaign year.
To help close the remaining 20% gap before the June 30 deadline, the organization is inviting the community to its final fundraiser of the season, Spring Purse Bingo, on May 1.
The event will be held at the Masters Building at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds. Proceeds support the annual community campaign, which funds more than 60 local nonprofit projects across Crawford, Marion, Morrow, Seneca, and Wyandot counties.
“We are so grateful for the generosity and momentum that our donors, corporate partners, and advocates have shown in bringing us so far in this campaign,” said Amber Wertman, UWNCO Chief Executive Officer. “Our annual purse bingo event is a great opportunity to come together as a region, enjoy a fun evening with friends, and help move us closer to reaching our campaign goal.”
Reservations include 18 games of bingo for designer purse prizes and a charcuterie buffet. Platinum sponsors for the evening include Dostal & Kirk Insurance & Financial Services and Firelands Federal Credit Union.
This year’s event also features “Pack the Purse,” sponsored by Tom Whiteside Upper Sandusky. Guests who donate period products or personal hygiene items for local nonprofits will be entered to win one of five special prizes.
