The Dairy Maids and Gents 4-H club met on Tuesday, May 30th at Lowe Volk Park. The group voted on T-shirt designs. They also discussed the clubs project/pen signs. There was no health or safety reports, but a demonstration was given on hydration.

After the meeting was adjured, the younger kids worked on removal of “the evil doctor mustard seed (aka mustard seed plants). These plants are an invasive plant that tends to grow very tall and takes sun light from other plants. The kids divided in to three groups and in total pulled out more than five hundred plants. The older kids worked in building wooden pathways on the trails, so it is easier to walk through the forest. The club did this as the community service project.

The next meeting will be at the Crawford County Fairground Whetstone Building June 14th at 7pm.
