With a month’s worth of experience in running her own business now under her belt, Sarah Nigh-Bruner officially cut the ribbon on her Ohio Eye Associates practice. She was joined by the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce, various city officials, and other key players who helped make the business become a reality.
Nigh-Bruner’s practice found its home in the former Peoples Savings and Loan building on the corner of Rensselaer and Walnut Streets. She described the building as “absolutely gorgeous” during an interview in September. It is a mixture of the old and new: Nigh-Bruner kept some of the classical aspects of the former bank building in place while adding a family-friendly atmosphere.
“I’ve been busier than expected, which is great,” Nigh-Bruner said during the ribbon cutting Thursday. “I’m excited to be part of this community. I love this community; I was born in this community; my husband and my family is all in this community. And I love Bucyrus.”
Nigh-Bruner’s practice offers comprehensive eye care services and has access to corneal, retinal, pediatric and other specialists through the Ohio Eye Associates.
Nigh-Bruner had been a part of Club View Vision Center before leaving there to start her own practice. She graduated from Colonel Crawford and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University.
