The Crestline Village Council passed a resolution Monday allowing the village to continue the application process for Ohio Public Works Commission Funds.

Those funds, if approved, would be used in part to help with the Oldfield Road improvement project. Village administrator Marc Milliron explained.

“The OPWC money is available for applications are due around October, so we are just preparing for those,” Milliron said. “One project is the Oldfield widening project for the school and another project was just the waterline replacement.”

The Oldfield Road project has an estimated cost of $120,000 of which Crestline’s share is half.

Council members were told the Harvest Festival last weekend was a huge success. It was also announced at Monday’s council meeting that Halloween trick-or-treat in the village will be from 2 to 4 the afternoon of Oct. 27.

The council then went in to executive session to discuss employee matters and the purchase of property.
