The rate of felony indictments that made their way from the grand jury to Common Pleas Court seemed to slow in February. But not so much that anyone in the local justice system has to worry about a lack of work.
Drugs continue to be the dominant source of crime in Crawford County. Seven out of nine arraignments Tuesday morning dealt directly with alleged drug charges. Of the two that did not directly involve alleged drug crimes, one was for eight counts of fifth-degree felony vandalism against Trey Onie and the other was for fifth-degree felony telecommunications fraud against Keleb Hicks.
Hicks was also recently arrested and could be charged with breaking and entering.
All of those arraigned Tuesday submitted not guilty pleas and their cases were continued for pre-trial hearings.
A complete list of those arraigned Tuesday in Crawford County Common Pleas Court, the charges they are facing and bonds set are: Andys Steward, F5 drug possession (personal recognizance bond); Trey Onie, eight counts of F5 vandalism ($15,000); Keleb Hicks, F5 telecommunications fraud ($75,000); Blaine Dunlap, F5 possession of a counterfeit controlled substance with the intent to sell and M4 possession of drug paraphernalia ($50,000); Weston Mulvane, F3 having weapons under disability and three misdemeanor drug charges ($150,000); Steven Horning, F5 possession of heroin, ($50,000); Jessica Rumer, F4 possession of heroin ($100,000); Benjamin Israel, F5 possession of drugs and two drug-related misdemeanors ($50,000; Sean Dickerson, F3 tampering with evidence, F5 possession of heroin and three drug-related misdemeanors ($50,000).
