BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The first annual Beer Pong Tournament, held on Saturday at VFW Post 1078, was a resounding success, drawing participants and spectators alike to the venue’s patio.

The event was organized by the “In A Soldier’s Shoes” Foundation, with proceeds aimed at supporting its mission of providing essential footwear for veterans and their families.

Volunteer emcee Jami Barlow pumped up the crowd, encouraging participants to play with the same spirit and determination that veterans exhibit in service.

While veterans were able to compete for free, teams of two entered the tournament for a fee of $50, vying for a chance to win a coveted WWE-styled Championship Belt.

After an exciting tournament, the Championship Belt was awarded to the winning duo of Scott Kingsbury and Joe Rowland. Paige Kissling and Eric Bays secured the runner-up position, showcasing their competitive spirit throughout the event.

With the Beer Pong Tournament behind them, the “In A Soldier’s Shoes” Foundation is already looking ahead to its next major fundraising endeavor: “A Mile In A Soldier’s Shoes,” a ruck march event that aims to further support veterans in the community.

The foundation thanks all participants and supporters for making the inaugural tournament a success and encourages everyone to stay tuned for future events.
