Police arrested four people after an extensive investigation by the Galion Police Department and Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.

Local law enforcement obtained and conducted a search warrant for 324 ½ South Market St., Galion on Monday. The search warrant was executed by members of the Galion Police Department, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Bucyrus Police Department, Galion Fire/EMS and the METRICH Drug Task Force.

Officers apprehended five individuals inside the residence during the initial search. While conducting the search of the residence, officers seized suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia.

Arrested and taken to the Crawford County Jail to await formal drug related charges from the Crawford County Prosecutor were 55-year-old Russell Gardner, 40-year-old Shane Brady, 44-year-old Michelle McClintock, and 26-year-old Kelly Burns. Twenty-two-year-old Sean Brady was issued a summons and released. All five people were from Galion.

“Once again our department has joined forces with Crawford County law enforcement to apprehend individuals associated with drug trafficking,” said Galion Police Chief Brian Saterfield. “This joint investigation continues to prove that we are all working together to combat the drug problems facing our communities.”
