After an extended absence due to holidays and uncooperative weather Friday night high school basketball returned.
The Wynford Lady Royals held court over the Ridgedale Rockets Friday nigh, and defended their home court with a 52 – 22 victory.
Ellie Richmond led the Lady Royals with 12 points with Alyssa Harrer scoring 11 points.
Ridgedale was led by Shae Mattix with 10 points in the losing effort.
The Colonel Crawford Lady Eagles hosted the Mohawk Lady Warriors and came out victorious 51 – 36.
Colonel Crawford was led by Lexi Hoepf’s 17 points. Katie Siegel contributed 12 points, and Alexus Burkhart added 12 points to the Lady Eagles cause.
Chelsey Trusty led Mohawk with 13 points followed by Beth Dundore with 11 points.
Scoring the first 15 points of the game the Bucyrus Lady Redmen threw the hammer down on the Crestline Lady Bulldogs 58 – 13.
Bucyrus was led by Shay Orewiler with 10 points while Crestline was led by Lydia Tadda with 7 points.
Despite having four players score in double digits the Buckeye Central Bucks fell to the visiting Ontario Warriors 79 – 65.
Buckeye Central’s Austin Wurm led all scorers in the game with 22 points. Grant Loy chipped in 17 points, Scott Heydinger added 11 points, and Cole Stacklin contributed 11 points.
Lenell Shelby scored 16 points for Ontario, Paul Homan put away 14 points, and Bradley Garverick scored a double double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
In other county action the Galion Lady Tigers lost to Buckeye Valley 50 – 32.
