Two months after celebrating his 18th birthday a rural Mansfield teen was sentenced to four years in prison for robbery.
Brian Thompson pleaded guilty to second-degree felony robbery at his arraignment Tuesday in Crawford County Common Pleas Court and in an arrangement with the prosecutor, was sentenced by Judge Russell Wiseman to four years in prison. Thompson could get judicial release after serving one year.
A second count of burglary was dismissed. Thompson was caught in November ransacking a car in a garage in Crestline by the owner. At that time Thompson revealed a gun to the owner which turned out to be an air gun.
Thompson could have been sentenced to a prison term as long as eight years. He was fined $2,500.
