BUCYRUS — Robert W. Skaggs, currently incarcerated at the Crawford County Jail, pleaded guilty in Crawford County Common Pleas Court to violating the terms and conditions of his community control.
In July, Skaggs, 46, was placed on five years of community control after he pleaded no contest to possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to one year in prison.
In September, during a routine drug screen, he tested positive for meth. His bond was revoked, and he was taken into custody where he has remained.
Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold sentenced Skaggs to 12 months in the Crawford County Jail. He will receive credit for all jail time served and will be permitted to apply for judicial release after six months served.
In other court news, Carl Wiggins, 37 of Bucyrus was arraigned on one charge of having weapons under disability, a third-degree felony punishable with up to three years in prison.
Judge Leuthold set bond at $75,000 and attorney Brian Gernert was appointed to represent him.
Apparently happy with the outcome of the arraignment, Wiggins danced his way out of the courtroom.
