BUCYRUS — Multiple individuals were arraigned via video from jail in Crawford County Common Pleas Court.

Jerry Harper Jr., 32, of Galion was indicted on a third-degree felony charge for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, punishable by as much as three years in prison; 10 fourth-degree felony charges for pandering obscenity involving a minor, each punishable with as many as 18 months in prison; and 10 fifth-degree charges for disseminating matter harmful to a juvenile, each punishable with as much as one year in prison. Harper retained Columbus-based attorney Colin McNamee. Crawford County Common Pleas Judge Sean Leuthold set bond at $150,000. The alleged victim in the case is 15 years old.

Twenty-seven-year-old Tyler Harris of Galion, Harper’s codefendant, was indicted on one fifth-degree felony charge for disseminating material harmful to a juvenile, punishable with as much as one year in prison. Leuthold appointed attorney Neil Huggins to represent Harris. Bond was set at $25,000.

Brandon Banks, 20, of Galion, a codefendant with Harper and Harris, was indicted on four fourth-degree felony charges for pandering obscenity involving a minor, each punishable with as many as 18 months in prison; and two fifth-degree felony charges for disseminating matter harmful to a juvenile, punishable with as much as one year in prison.
Leuthold appointed attorney Brad Starkey to represent Banks. Bond was set at $25,000. According to allegations, pictures were exchanged of victims of the ages of 15 and 17 years old.

Cally Prater, 26, of Bucyrus was indicted on one a third-degree felony charge for possession of drugs (5 grams of methamphetamines), punishable with as many as three years in prison, and one minor misdemeanor charge for possession of marijuana, punishable with a fine of $150.
Leuthold appointed Tani Eyer to represent Prater. Bond was set at $100,000.
Keith Smith, 31, of Bucyrus was indicted on one fourth-degree felony charge for domestic violence, punishable with as many as 18 months in prison; a first-degree misdemeanor charge for aggravated menacing, punishable with as many as six months in jail; and a first-degree misdemeanor charge for endangering children, punishable with as many as six months in jail.
According to allegations, officers responded to a domestic call involving Smith’s live-in girlfriend. Smith reportedly made various threats including toward a crying two-year-old. Smith allegedly threw a blanket over the child’s head and said he would shut the child up one way or another. Smith also allegedly fled the residence.
Leuthold appointed Andrew Motter to represent Smith. Bond was set at $50,000.

Reese Brenneman, 33, of Crestline was indicted on a fourth-degree felony charge for domestic violence, punishable with as many as 18 months in prison. Brenneman is currently on probation in Crawford County Municipal Court.
Leuthold appointed attorney Motter to represent Brenneman. Bond was set at $50,000. If Brenneman posts bond he is to have no contact with the victim.
