BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—An Indiana man is behind bars in Ohio following an internet crimes investigation into the online solicitation of a minor, local authorities confirmed.

Terry Hershberger, 74, of Indiana, was extradited and booked into the Crawford County Justice Center on July 1. His arrest follows a proactive enforcement investigation spearheaded by Officer Johnson of the Bucyrus Police Department.

According to investigators, Hershberger allegedly used online platforms to solicit sex from an individual he believed to be a 14-year-old girl living in Bucyrus. Authorities also stated that Hershberger disseminated sexually oriented material to the person he believed was a minor during the course of the digital interaction.

Following the conclusion of the investigation, local authorities secured a nationwide warrant for Hershberger’s arrest. He was subsequently located, apprehended, and extradited back to Crawford County with the assistance of the Goshen Police Department in Indiana.
