The Village of Crestline seems to have benefitted from the upturn in the local economy.

Fiscal Officer Gloria McDonald reported to the Finance Committee on Monday that local income tax revenue for the village was more than $61,000 ahead of where it was at this time last year. McDonald indicated that ambulance billing is also up from last year’s pace.

During the regular session of Village Council members approved legislation regarding repaving the portion of U.S. 30 within Crestline village limits and money moved to the sewer fund. Council also gave a first reading to an ordinance that would prohibit parking in alleys and narrow streets.

More on the Crestline Village Council meeting is available in the latest edition of the Crestline Advocate.
