BUCYRUS (Crawford County Now) — Galion swept all three singles matches to edge Bucyrus tennis, 3-2.
Mya Noelle took first singles from the Lady Red’s Ella Green, 6-2, 6-1. Kate McMullen won second singles over Lily Engelhorn, 6-0, 6-1 and Ashley Franks got past Kate Brennstuhl, 6-3, 6-1 in third singles.
Bucyrus (2-10) captured the two doubles matches. In first doubles, Emma Graves and Savannah Clark topped Allyssa Woodmansee and Hannah Nelson, 6-1, 6-0. Mya Rothhaar and Addie Weber dropped Destiny Blue and Lily Johnson, 6-2, 6-1.
The Lady Red swept three junior varsity matches. Amirah Price and Lady Faye McCoy won 8-3. Maci Messerschmidt and Lexi Farnwalt picked up an 8-4 victory as did Madi Kepler and Serenity Potts.
Bucyrus returns to action under the lights at Upper Sandusky on September 25. Galion (6-6) travels to River Valley on Thursday.
