CRAWFORD COUNTY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—At 7:19 a.m. your Holmes Township Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a working structure fire on Eaton Road. An old barn was destroyed by the blaze. The cause of the fire is unknown. We were assisted at the fire by Lykens Township Volunteer Fire Department, Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department, Dallas Township Volunteer Fire Department, Bucyrus Fire Department (for EMS) and Chatfield Volunteer Fire Department, as well as the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
This is the sixth vehicle or structure fire to which we have responded in Holmes Township or surrounding areas since November 14.
