CRESTLINE, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Three local libraries are joining forces this summer to bring history and science to life for readers of all ages in Crawford County.
As part of the 2026 Summer Reading program, “Unearth a Story,” the Bucyrus, Crestline, and Galion public libraries are collaborating to present “Interpreting the Past.” The joint community event is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, at 1 p.m. at Lowe-Volk Park, located at 2901 State Route 598.
Dr. Amanda Rollins, an Assistant Professor of Biology at Wilmington College, will serve as the featured presenter. Rollins, whose background includes biological anthropology and archaeological excavations, will share insights and information about the processes and science behind digging up the past.
The interactive program is completely free and open to community members of all ages. In addition to the presentation, snacks will be provided courtesy of the Galion Public Library.
