The Bucyrus Elementary School music department is excited to announce the date and musical selections for its first spring music program.

The kindergarten program will begin at 6:15 p.m., followed by the first-grade program at 7:15 p.m. April 9. All programs will be held in the elementary school auditorium.

This year’s musical selections are as follows:

Kindergarten – ā€œI CAN!ā€

  • Yes, I Can
  • You Can Be Anything
  • I Can Do That!
  • We Can Be Anything
  • All We’re Meant to Be

First Grade General Music Classes – ā€œLet’s Read!ā€

  • Learn To Read, Read To Learn
  • I Like “C”
  • There’s an “H” In Hawaii
  • Let’s Read And Rock
  • “K” Take Me Away
  • Give Me a “Z”

Programs are under the direction of elementary music specialist Sarah Martin. ā€œEach year, every grade level here at BES puts on a program that is open to their families and the community,ā€ Martin said. ā€œThe students get so excited to put on these programs for the people they know. They love to perform. As a music teacher, it is a great way for me to instill a life-long love of music and learning, which I hope they continue to pursue.ā€
