A few people who were in the wrong place at the wrong time found themselves on the wrong side of the law Monday as the Bucyrus Police Department made four arrests.
At 5:43 p.m. in the 800 block of Cleland Ave., Adam Chapman, 31, was cited for driving under suspension. He was arrested on charges of possession of heroin. He was transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.
In the process of arresting Chapman, Bucyrus police officers also encountered Patrick Thompson, 35, in the area and arrested him on charges of theft regarding a previous shoplifting incident. He was issued a summons to appear in court and released.
Officers responded to a call of trespassers in the 200 block of W. Mansfield St. at 7:23 p.m. Monday. While investigating, officers arrested James M. Allonas II, 34, on a Crawford County warrant. He was transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held.
At 9:18 p.m. Jaime Webb, 28, was arrested in the 600 block of S. Spring St. on a Crawford County warrant. She was issued a date to appear in court and released.
The Bucyrus Police Department investigated a traffic incident at 4:18 p.m. involving two vehicles the 100 block of S. Sandusky Ave. Monday. Noah T. Bishop was operating a 1995 Freightliner truck and struck a cable TV wire on S. Sandusky Ave. near Kilbourne. He was northbound and the damaged cable TV wire fell and struck the vehicle following, driven by Janel Hord, and caused damage to her vehicle. The Ohio State Highway Patrol assisted and took enforcement action finding that the commercial oversize vehicle driven by Bishop was in violation of several permit issues and exceeded the height limit of his permit for 14’6” and was actually 15’.
