CLEVELAND—On Thursday, the Northeast Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force made ten arrests in connection to a human trafficking sting in North Olmsted. The Ohio Attorney General, Dave Yost, announced the arrests on May 11th.

Among those arrested were Ahmed Aljabri of Cleveland, Sha Chuwan of Erie, Pennsylvania, Dan Keenan Jr. of Westlake, William Minor of Cleveland, Jeffrey Ohl of La Grange, Erwin Palma-Torres of Garrettsville, Jacob Safran of Royal Oak, Michigan, Raymond Schillinger of Akron, Carl Whepley Jr. of Perry, and Errol Jackson of Lorain.

According to officials, Jackson is a registered Tier III sex offender. Additionally, a middle school teacher and a non-profit executive were included among those arrested. Keenan, 53, is the former superintendent for Westlake City Schools. He was also a wrestling coach at Lee Burneson Middle School from 2015-2018, and an assistant coach during the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons. Westlake school officials confirmed that Keenan is no longer associated with the district in any way.

The Northeast Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force is a collaboration between federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, as well as non-governmental organizations. The task force is responsible for investigating and prosecuting human trafficking crimes in the Northeast Ohio region.

The Ohio Attorney General’s office praised the efforts of the task force in a statement, saying “these arrests are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Northeast Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force in combating the scourge of human trafficking in our state.”

The ten men arrested are currently in custody and are awaiting further legal action.
