BUCYRUS — The 2020 “Arts for Success” has a star-studded evening planned that citizens will not want to miss.
The event is Thursday, March 5 from 5:30-9 p.m. at the Crawford Success Center, a satellite of North Central State College.
The Crawford County centric evening includes a dance theme. The event will showcase the work of area artists and is benefitting the Crawford Success Center students through scholarships.
The “Arts for Success” event spotlights the artistic talent of area high school students with their art pieces being for sale in the silent auction. Each student will be provided a voucher for two credit hours at the Crawford Success Center. The live auction will feature paintings from noteworthy artists, sculptures, jewelry, an extraordinary quilt, an art experience, and designer purses that demonstrate an artistic flair.
The 2020 “Arts for Success” is presented by OhioHealth. Gold sponsors include North Central Ohio Media Group, Ohio Mutual, area donors, and Avita Health Systems. The emcee for the evening is Mike Miller, the talented President of the Renaissance Theatre. Opening remarks will be shared from Kim Jenney, General Manager at North Central Ohio Media Group.
The “Crawford County Center for the Arts” supports the evening with leadership on the planning committee from Sandy Laipply, Beverly Morgan, and Maggy Everett.
A lively Pre-Reception will include two dance experiences, featuring ball room dancing and line dancing.
Chris Copper, North Central State College Foundation, Executive Director, shares, “Many of our student’s ability to change the trajectory of their life is dependent on them achieving a degree or certificate. The event is impacting both students’ lives and their families for years to come.”
