NORTH ROBINSON — During the Colonel Crawford Board of Education meeting Monday evening, Colonel Crawford Lion’s Club President Joe Noblet presented Colonel Crawford Leo club member, Cieara Pfeifer, with a 25-year club membership patch.
Former Colonel Crawford teacher and current board member Norm Huber also was recognized.
“Kim Miller-Smith of the Ohio School Boards Association presented Norm with a certificate for 15 years of service to the Colonel Crawford Local School Board,” Superintendent Todd Martin said.
Also during the meeting, the board approved the purchase of bus cameras, for both inside and outside of the vehicles, for eight route busses and also extra mounts for three spares with an additional stop-arm camera at a total cost of $22,525, which includes the price of installation of the cameras.
The board approved several other items including:
- The hiring of four summer workers, at state minimum wage for June, July, and August.
- The amending of Paul Gladden’s assistant track coaching contract to that of four years of experience.
- Cutting Edge Lawncare for treatment of baseball, softball, and football fields at a total cost of $2,475 which includes three applications per site. The cost is $639.72 less than last year.
- The superintendent of schools as the designee of the Colonel Crawford Local Schools’ Board of Education to receive training required by House Bill 9. The board also directs the treasurer to be trained and certified by the office of the State Attorney General.
The board’s next meeting is April 23 at 7 p.m. in the Colonel Crawford Media Center.
