BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—A Bucyrus man pleaded guilty to multiple animal cruelty charges shortly after being taken into custody Friday.
Dustin Allen Meyers, 38, of Bucyrus, entered guilty pleas to nine counts of animal cruelty during his initial appearance Friday in Crawford County Municipal Court. Each charge carried a possible sentence of up to 90 days in jail.
Crawford County Municipal Court Judge Shane Leuthold sentenced Meyers to 120 days in jail following the hearing.
According to sources, Meyers had animals in his care that were not being fed. Before his arrest, he had turned some animals over to the humane society but still did not take care of those he kept.
