NEW WASHINGTON — The Buckeye Central Board of Education reviewed and discussed upcoming projects and maintenance work set to begin on the Buckeye Central Local Schools campus.
Superintendent Mark Robinson shared a spreadsheet with 20 items listed as projects the district administrators eventually want or need completed. Robinson had the projects as “scheduled, 1, 2 or 3,” based on the severity of the project needing completed.

The most expensive project previously was approved by the board and is in the planning stages. A renovation to the football stadium’s bleachers and press box will cost just less than $350,000. Robinson said a crew was at the stadium earlier in the week to mark the underground utilities.

The board also was informed the school’s booster club agreed to purchase a new scoreboard and new play clocks for the stadium. The board looked at renditions of what the scoreboard could look like, but did not decide which company to award the job to.
Other scheduled work includes an HVAC project, the resurfacing of the high school and middle school gyms and work on shelving units in the computer lab.
Likely projects include the renovation of the school’s parking lots and upgrading of security cameras and phone systems.
Also during the meeting, the board entered executive session for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes to discuss personnel. After the session, all personnel on the agenda to be hired were approved.
The next board meeting is May 10 at 7 p.m.
