UPPER SANDUSKY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Armadillo Solar awarded its quarterly Community Grant to 10 Wyandot County nonprofits, the company announced Wednesday. The organizations will use the funding to support their various missions.
Marion Technical College, while not located in Wyandot County, received a significant portion of the grant to support its student food pantry.
“We are incredibly grateful for Armadillo Solar’s generous donation to the Marion Technical College’s Connections Center,” said Craig Sohl, Director of Title III at Marion Tech. “Providing emergency resources has been instrumental in helping our students continue their education at Marion Tech in the face of difficult life circumstances. The additional funding to support our campus pantry and emergency aid is greatly needed and we couldn’t be more thankful to Armadillo Solar for selecting MTC to receive this donation.”
Other recipients focused on food security include the community garden by Wyandot County Public Health and Open Door Resource Center’s pantry.

The largest grant this quarter went to Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Wyandot County, which recruits and trains volunteers to advocate for children who have experienced abuse and neglect.
Family and children’s programs also receiving grants include The HUB, Carey High School’s design class, the Carey DECA program, and the Wyandot Community Foundation for a summer esports camp.
Additional grants were awarded to The Wyandot Health Foundation for medically engineered recliners for inpatient rooms and the Wyandot County Humane Society for facility renovations.
“We were humbled by the number of worthy applications this quarter and are proud to support a record number of organizations making a difference in Wyandot County,” said Leah Cordy, Director of Community Relations at Armadillo Solar. “The need remains great, and we’re committed to continuing our support and investment in the community’s future.”
