BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—In a developing story, local resident Carolyn Shireman is back in custody following an indictment by a Crawford County Grand Jury on Tuesday. While specific details regarding the charges remain under seal, Shireman had previously faced serious legal issues, including a second-degree felony theft charge and a first-degree misdemeanor charge of intimidation filed against her in January.

Law enforcement officials executed a sweeping search warrant at Shireman’s residence on Beal Avenue as the indictment was served. Eyewitnesses reported seeing two Crawford County Sheriff’s vehicles alongside two pickup trucks converge on the property as officers began their investigation.

According to sources familiar with the situation, the search warrant authorized the seizure of a variety of items believed to have been purchased using funds from the alleged victim in this case. Items listed for confiscation included clothing, household goods, decorations, perfumes, jewelry, sheds, tents, chattels, and any other property that may be linked to the victim’s finances. Additionally, the warrant called for the collection of financial records, including bank statements, credit card statements, wills, and any other documents related to the victim.

Sheriff’s officers have a three-day window to fully execute the warrant, during which they are expected to conduct a thorough search of the premises.

Crawford County Now will continue to provide details as they become available.
