BUCYRUS — Iva Reedy of Crestline appeared in Crawford County Common Pleas Court to change her plea.
Reedy, 26, admitted to possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to 12 months in prison.
Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold sentenced Reedy to five years of community control. She was ordered to complete drug and alcohol counseling and will forfeit all drug related property to the Crestline Police Department.
Reedy’s attorney, Tom Nicholson, addressed the court, calling Reedy’s case a sad one.
“Miss Reedy managed to make her family so mad at her that they called the police and turned her in,” Nicholson said. “We are hopeful that with this sentence she will be able to get help for her addiction and start new.”
“Behave yourself. If you mess this up, I can send you right to prison,” Leuthold said. “I wish you the best.”
