The regular meeting for the Bucyrus City Schools Board of Education was not a long one, but it did take care of some necessary items.

Roger Rowlinson was approved as a substitute teacher for the current school year. Treasurer Ryan Cook and board member Adam Stone gave an analysis of state funding as to how money from the state follows a student if that student goes from one district to another.

Superintendent Kevin Kimmel also recognized board members for their years of service to the district as January is Ohio School Board Month: Brad Murtiff, two years; Adam Stone, two years, Paul Johnson, seven and one-half years; Doug Schiefer, 10 years; Sandy stone, 20 years.

New Student Representative to the board Kaylee Lewis shared the student body is concerned about graduating on time and hopes not to have to make-up excessive calamity days at the end of the school year.
