The NCC leader log jam continued into the new year as four teams finished the week with a 3-1 conference record with many teams tipping off early due to Ohio State playing in the Orange Bowl.
Buckeye Central came out in full force Friday night defeating Crestline 81-42.
Austin Wurm led the Bucks scorers with 30 points. Cade Kaple scored a double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Seth Ollis added 12 points, and Sam Robertson contributed 10 points as Buckeye Central improved to an 8-1 overall record, and a 3-1 NCC record.
Blake Hunger led Crestline with 16 points 2 blocks and 4 steals as the Crestline Bulldogs fell to a 3-5 overall record with a 1-3 NCC mark.
Colonel Crawford ended their losing streak Friday night by defeating Riverdale 64-47.
The Eagles had two players score 20+ points with Nate Klingenberger leading the Way with 21 points. With the win Colonel Crawford improves to an 8-2 record and a 3-1 record in the NCC.
The Falcons were led by Lee Holderman, and Adam Fox with 11 points apiece, Grant Loveridge added 10 as Riverdale fell to a 3-4 overall record with a 0-4 conference record.
Bucyrus hosted Upper Sandusky Friday handing the Rams their first conference loss of the season 56-45.
Brian Snouffer led the Redmen with 14 points, Greg Patrick added 12 points, and D.J. Dagher contributed 11 points as Bucyrus improves to a 7-3 overall record, and a 3-1 conference record.
The Rams were led by Westin Vent with 11 points, and Seth Frey with 10 points. With the loss Upper Sandusky falls to a 6-4 record, and a 3-1 record in the NCC.
Galion traveled to the “House of Thrills” at Wynford, and handed the Royals a 64-47 defeat Friday night.
Lucas Bohach led the Tigers with 24 points. Tony Kirk contributed to the effort with 12, and Ridge Durbin added another 10 points as Galion improves to a 2-2 conference record and a 3-6 overall mark.
The Royals were led by Austin Shutler with 14 points, while Hunter Miller and Jake Glowaski both added 11 points. With the loss Wynford drops to 1-3 in conference play and a 3-6 overall record.
