It was a return to the reindeer games, as Friday night high school hoops was held two days removed from Christmas.

Santa Claus gave a gift to the Bucyrus Redmen as they handed the Colonel Crawford Eagles their first loss on the season 48-47.

Bucyrus was led by Brian Snougger and JD Dagher with 13 points. Austin Williams added another 8 for the Redmen, who are now 5-3 overall and 2-1 in NCC play.

Nate Klingenberger led the Eagles in scoring with 14 points. Connor McCreary and Todd Entenmann added 10 points each as Colonel Crawford fell to a 7-1 overall record with a 2-1 record in the NCC.

After trailing 28-26 in the first half to the Galion Tigers, the Buckeye Central Bucks stormed out of the gates in the second half to win 65-56.

Cade Kaple led the Bucks with 25 points and 6 assists. Austin Wurm chipped in with 20 points, and Sam Robertson added another 11. With the win Buckeye Central improves to 7-1 with a 2-1 record in the NCC.

Durbin led the Tigers with 13 points, Houston Blair scored 12 and added 5 assists, and Bohach added 10 to the Tigers’ cause. With the loss the Tigers drop to 2-4 and 1-2 in the NCC

After scoring 16 points in the first half, the Upper Sandusky Rams came charging back against Wynford to win their game into overtime 55-53.

Mason Davis led the Royals with 15 points, and Jake Glowaski added 11 points.

Upper Sandusky clinched the game when Wes Vent hit 2 free throws with 5.5 seconds to go in overtime.

With the win Upper Sandusky improves to 5-3 on the year while Wynford slips to 3-4.

In other NCC league action Crestline improved their record to 3-4 with a 1-2 NCC record after the Bulldogs upended Riverdale 79-77.
