NEWS RELEASE:

The Bucyrus City Board of Zoning Appeals has scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in Council Chambers on the 2nd floor of City Hall. The Board is meeting to discuss the following:

SUBJECT 1: Reorganization of Board of Zoning Appeals for 2018

SUBJECT 2: Bob Erwin would like to construct a private storage building on the vacant lot located at 172 East Beal Avenue; next to the former Bistro Restaurant. The property is located within the General Industrial District and has a side yard setback of twenty-five feet. Mr. Erwin is seeking an area variance to the side yard setback on the west side of the property to allow the building to stand ten feet from the property line. The property previously received an area variance for the east side yard setback to allow construction within five feet of that property line.

SUBJECT 3: Randy Clady, owner of 703 Sitler Avenue, would like to place a 12’ x 16’ or 12’ x 20’ shed on the south side of his home. The property is located within the Suburban Residential R-1 Zoning District and requires a side yard setback of ten feet. The shed would stand three feet from the south property line. Therefore, Mr. Clady has requested an Area Variance from the Board of Zoning Appeals for placement of the shed.

The public is welcome to attend the meeting. The Board reserves the right to amend the meeting’s agenda as necessary.
