Bucyrus police arrested four people on unrelated charges over the weekend.

The weekend arrests started early with the Bucyrus Police Department assisting the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop at East Southern Avenue. Tony Gulley was arrested at the scene.

Officers arrested 55-year-old Gary T. Rogers in the area of East Mansfield Street and East Mary Street Saturday afternoon for disorderly conduct and open container. Rogers was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held until sober.

A report of an impaired driver in the area of Marion Road led officers to stop John M. Hager on Mader Drive. Hager was arrested for possession of marijuana and issued a minor misdemeanor citation. He was released pending a court appearance.

An officer made contact with an intoxicated pedestrian in the area of Rosedale Avenue and Lavina Drive Sunday morning and arrested 30-year-old Joseph J. Diebert for possession of marijuana.

An incident that occurred on Nov. 8 led to officers serving summons for theft and criminal trespassing to 24-year-old Travis Belt early Monday morning. Belt was released pending a court appearance.

The Bucyrus Police Department also investigated an injury accident Friday night in the area of Sandusky Avenue and Marion Road when Ryan M. Stauffer failed to yield to a vehicle. Stauffer was traveling north on Marion Road and stopped at South Sandusky Aveenue. When he proceeded north, he failed to yield to another vehicle and took evasive action. Stauffer crashed into a pole, disabling his car in the process and suffering minor visible injuries.

Officers cited Stauffer for failure to control and failure to reinstate his license. Stauffer said he was distracted at the time because he was talking on the phone while driving.
