The Buckeye Central School District will be showcased as one of the 100 of the most innovative public school programs and projects in Ohio next month in the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) Student Achievement Fair.

Marking its 15th anniversary, the Student Achievement Fair at OSBA’s 58th annual Capital Conference and Trade Show will highlight outstanding initiatives created by school districts across the state. The four-hour celebration of learning and achievement begins at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in downtown Columbus.

Buckeye Central will be the only Crawford County school district participating in the Student Achievement Fair.

Approximately 10,000 school board members, administrators and guests are expected at the 2013 Capital Conference, the second-largest education convention in the country. In addition, more than 600 exhibitors will display their goods and services at the Trade Show, the nation’s largest education trade exhibition. The conference — Ohio’s premier education event — runs Nov. 10-13.

Topics to be featured in presentations and displays at the Student Achievement Fair include: service learning, culinary arts, science, technology, reading initiatives, veterinary science, robotics, energy conservation, engineering, character building, community service and much more.
