MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center (MOESC) is preparing for a busy spring season, highlighting student achievements in fine arts, academics, and career-ready certifications across Crawford, Richland, and Morrow counties.

Superintendent Kevin Kimmel announced the return of Art-A-Palooza, a week-long celebration beginning April 17. The event will showcase over 600 pieces of student artwork from 23 participating school districts, concluding with an awards ceremony on April 22.

In addition to the arts, MOESC recently honored top seniors with the Franklin B. Walter Scholarship, awarding five $1,000 scholarships to students who demonstrated excellence in academics and community service. Among the recipients was Jacob Brickert of Galion High School, who will represent Crawford County at the state level.

The center is also celebrating the expansion of its Turbo Cert program. On May 1, 32 students will receive industry-recognized credentials in high-demand fields such as robotics programming, 5G wireless technology, and drone operation.

“It is a season for recognizing students,” Kimmel said, noting that upcoming events also include a Student Leadership Conference on May 8 featuring OHSAA Commissioner Doug Ute.
