United Way of Crawford County advances the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all. Our focus is on education, income and health — the building blocks for a good quality of life. United Way of Crawford County recruits people and organizations that bring the passion, expertise and resources needed to get things done. We invite you to be part of the change. You can give. You can advocate. You can volunteer. The 2013 United Way Campaign Kick-Off theme is “Make Some Noise & Live United”. Tuesday, September 3rd
Join us at a “Business After Hours” event at United Bank, Bucyrus (401 S Sandusky Ave) from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. We invite you to receive information from some of our partner agencies, meet our board of directors and celebrate this year’s “Live United” campaign. There will be give-a-ways, so take a chance in the “Money Machine”! This event is free and open to the public.
Wednesday, September 4th
Jane’s Hunger Paynes Family Restaurant in Crestline (819 E. Main St.) will donate a percentage of your meal back to United Way. Hunger Paynes is open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, so stop out for a meal (or a piece of pie!). Be sure to ask for a “Jane’s Gives Back” receipt to fill out for United Way of Crawford Co.! Jane’s conducts this donation program all year round, so stop in as often as you can.
Thursday, September 5th
The Bucyrus Bob Evans will be hosting a “Dine to Make a Difference” community fundraiser for United Way of Crawford County from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Bob Evans, located at 1517 N. Sandusky Ave., will donate 15% of your sale to UWCC. Make sure to take a donation flyer with you and present it to your server! Don’t have your flyer yet? We can e-mail you one! Friday, September 6th
“Live United” at Pete’s Café in New Washington! Pete’s will feature the Rough Country Band in honor of United Way of Crawford County, as well as a 50/50 raffle and give-a-ways throughout the night. The concert will start at 9:00 PM. Stop up and join the “Kick-Off” party at 115 West Mansfield St.
Saturday, September 7th
United Way of Crawford County is excited to host DJ Dave King, Acoustics & Karaoke Concert at the Galion Moose Lodge #303 (520 South Market St.) from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. We will be auctioning off 2 sets of Ohio State Football tickets and much more. Don’t miss the party, live auction and 50/50 raffle.
Plus, mark your calendars for our bi-annual “Live United Buckeye Bash” a tailgating event on Saturday, November 30th at Galion Community Hospital. Reserve your space and watch the Ohio State vs. Michigan game with us. Call 419-468-4291 for details.
