BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—A motor vehicle crash occurred late Friday night , claiming the life of a 21-year-old woman.
At approximately 10:49 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, along with emergency services from Bucyrus and Dallas Townships, responded to the accident at the intersection of State Route 4 and Caldwell Road.
Preliminary investigations reveal that a vehicle driven by 38-year-old William Hatcher was traveling eastbound on Caldwell Road as he approached the State Route 4 intersection. Hatcher was accompanied by passenger Destiny Rathers. Reports indicate that Hatcher’s vehicle failed to yield at the intersection and was subsequently struck by a second vehicle, operated by Ralph Ehrhart, who was traveling northbound on State Route 4.
The collision caused Hatcher’s vehicle to roll over into the ditch line east of State Route 4, where it ultimately came to rest on its driver’s side.
The second vehicle, occupied by Ralph and Judith Ehrhart, also came to a stop in the vicinity.
Destiny Rathers was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Both William Hatcher and the Ehrharts were transported to Bucyrus Community Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this devastating crash.
